I’ve been thinking about the saying “I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish he didn’t trust me so much” that was said by Mother Theresa, and this sure seems to sum up how i’ve been feeling lately and apply to so many things right now. Between school, applying to grad school, my health, and personal issues, I’ve been feeling a little bit overwhelmed at times.  I’ve been stressing and worrying about some things (which I know I don’t need to do) and wanted assurance from the Bible that says God  won’t give me anything I can’t handle, because sometimes I feel like God does trust me too much.  And what I found is that it doesn’t say this in the Bible, it doesn’t say God won’t give you anything you can’t handle.  But what it does say is that :

1 Corinthians 10:13 
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Sometimes I just need to be reminded.
